Events
Every year, the NWT Judo Association hosts three Territorial events for our athletes across the Territory. Arctic Open takes place in Inuvik, the Dehcho Judo Gathering takes place in Fort Simpson and the North of 60 Judo Tournament takes place in Yellowknife. We hope to encourage participation by hosting events in each core region where we provide judo programming. These events are not only an amazing opportunity to showcase ones technical ability in a beginner friendly judo tournament, but also to build lifelong friendships. These events are a chance to bring together all our athletes from across the territory to not only compete against one another, but to spend time and learn from each other over the course of the weekend as well.

NWT Judo strives to increase the physical activity of people throughout the territory with Judo, and is dedicated to developing judoka from grassroots to high performance athletes. We work to provide a fun learning atmosphere both in the school system, specifically throughout the Dehcho District, as well as hubs in Yellowknife and Inuvik.
